Healing is restoration proces

Many people do not really feel the really balanced state of all their ecosystems.

Healing is the process of restoration of balance. If you really want to understand what is healing you should know how you feel when you are at the optimum balanced state of your physical, psychological, emotional, social and spiritual eco systems. When each of these systems is in a balanced state, you are at ease. Otherwise you are at disease. Many people do not really feel the really balanced state of all these eco systems. at the most they may touch that point of one or two eco systems. When there is a wound and that part is rapidly coming back to pre-wound state, we call that process healing. Here the reference point is pre-wound state. But, still the question remains whether that pre-wound  state is really the optimum balance state or not. For western thinkers this is fine, because many of their definitions name health as absence of disease. But for oriental thinkers it is much more than that.

A story from Jain scriptures is a good example. A man befriended a lion in the forest. After some time of continued friendship, that person requested the lion to attend a function in his house. The man requested the lion not to hurt anybody and the lion agreed for the same. On the day of the function man told all his friends not to be afraid of lion. But, still some guests were apprehensive of his assurance. The man started boasting of  so many things. At one point of time he assured a mischievous boy that lion is so timid and cannot retaliate even if you scratch it. The boy tried. But, the lion maintained his cool as he promised the man before coming.

After the party, the man went with the lion into the forest to thank him. Lion asked the man to hurt his paw with a sharp stone. The man was shocked at the first instance. When the lion ordered him, the man hurt the lion's paw. Then the lion asked him to come back after a month. When the man went after a month, the lion said, "my hurt paw has healed, but my hurt soul has not yet healed. When you told that I am timid, you insulted me. I could kill verybody there to show I am not timid. But I promised you that I will not hurt anybody". The moral of the story is every wound or hurt plane can be healed. But, the process should be right for that plane. Many times, we really do not know what will hurt us on what plane.

Tantra can restore your balance on many of your planes.
