Healing energies

Tantra tries to reduce adverse affects of some energies and harness well being affects of some energies.

In the last article, we discussed how substances affect substances, energies, psychology, emotions, and spiritual states of a person. Similarly, energies -internal and external-also affect almost all eco systems of our body. Historically, many cultures know it is very difficult to sleep on a full moon day. Some cultures believe that full moon is also responsible for crazy behaviours. Now, some studies confirmed lesser levels of melatonin around full moon day. Doctors know that epileptic patients suffer from more seizures near new moon. Ayurveda knows the soothing effect of moonlight on pitta type personalities.

Circadian, infradian, and ultradian are examples of how energies and fields of sun and other unknown sources affect functions of our body and mind. Going near fire on a chilling night is a healing experience and all of us know it. In the same way going under a tree on a scorching summer day is a refreshing feeling. Many scientists confirmed long arora lights and their correlation with suicidal behaviours of the people in that region. Sunlight cures seasonal affective disorder. If we use a particular wave length of the sunlight if causes specific impact. Ultraviolet rays cause cancers. Infrared rays reduce pain and inflammation. And different lasers affect different tissues on body.

People who perform homa rituals and those who sit near to the fire of homa experience a bit relaxed response. The heat and light expands skin and relaxes blood vessels. All these examples are enough to say energies affect our bodies. Tantra tries to reduce adverse affects of some energies and harness well being affects of some energies. It also focuses on harmonising several energies in our eco system.
