Are you living in this moment?
Several mindfulness meditations and techniques use spatio-temporal techniques.

Our life force, consciousness, awareness, desires, passions, and a host of other sublte things inside us are ideally need to focus on this moment, this environment, and this life. But, check yourself are you really living in present? Check with thousands of people and you will find out most of them are living anywhere in spatio- temporal plane except the present moment. Why so? The very tendency of our mind is drifting. When the nature itself is drifting, why should we bother about that? Most of our tensions and stress arise because we generally do not dwell in present moment.

When we really live here and now, that is the moment you are actually living. If you are thinking of a past event, you are drifting away into your past or chittam or karma zone. If you are thinking of a future event or worrying about something that may or may not happen in future, you drifting away into a future or imagination zone. If you take a child, a middle aged person and a very old person. Generally a child lives either in present or in imagination as his past of the present life is very limited. A middle aged man lives either in memories, or in sensual pleasures or in imagination zone. sometimes middle aged man is more confused than a child or an old person. This is because he has enough past, present and future. Very old people live most of their present time in memories. 'Is was not like that in our days'... kind of expressions come from old people. What they have mostly is past only and they know for sure their present and future are vanishing quickly like lighted camphor.

As tantra uses visualisations and spatio-temporal techniques, a practitioner will live his full life in present without much tensions or worries. Several mindfulness meditations and techniques use spatio-temporal techniques. They are not only useful as cognitive behavioural therapies, but can also be used as good strategic problem solving techniques in corporate settings. Thus optimum performance can be achieved in many walks of life.
